Tompkins County Public Library Foundation

The READATHON is our annual challenge to read out loud - one reader at a time, 30 minutes each, all day long - to raise funds for our public library. This year our goal is to raise $25,000 with your help. Take a stand (or a comfy seat!) and help raise money and promote literacy.

Join us on Saturday, April 25th from 8:00AM till midnight, in the BorgWarner Community Room at Tompkins County Public Library. You'll also be able to watch it live online (details to come).

Every dollar raised in the READATHON helps to buy books and other materials our community needs.  TCPL lends nearly a million items each year—a remarkably high level for a community of our size—and 100% of the funding for annual purchases comes from private support like the funds raised by our READATHON readers. We need your help to keep us all reading and learning!

Please support our devoted readers and give today!
